Rachel & Jared Wedding April 10, 2021

Springfield, Illinois

The Denver Death March . . .

At first glance you wouldn't consider these two would be interested in farming or the country.  Rachel grew up helping out on the farm, driving tractors and other equipment.  When Jared came around, the family got to know him as he helped out with the farming duties as well.  It takes a village, right.

Jared's brother gave a speech at the reception talking about getting to know the sense of humor and selflessness that Rachel offered up to his brother.  They lived in Denver, and Rachel and Jared came out to visit for the weekend.  He planned too many activities into that weekend and Rachel coined the phrase that it was a "denver death march" and not a vacation.  From that point on they all know she was special and Jared needed to keep her around.

The morning of their wedding the rain was coming at us sideways as Rachel was putting the final touches on her dress. We found out later that Jared's grandmother told them she would send a rainbow to them on their wedding day and true to her word, a full rainbow materialized right above the reception venue later that day!  Rachel's family worked tirelessly to decorate the reception venue to make it extra special for the newlyweds since their original plans got sidetracked due to COVID.

The dance floor was hopping and it was complete with a "family dance" that had us as vendors scratching our heads wondering what in the world was happening.  It was a tremendous day filled with love and laughter throughout.  What an honor to capture the day for this amazing couple.

All the best

Kind words from the couple

"Steve was phenomenal to work with! From the beginning, I received responses within a couple hours when I emailed or messaged him with questions. He sent reminders about filling out the information form throughout the wedding planning process and when payments were due. We felt the price for the services was fair considering how much time he spent with us, the quality of customer service and the incredible product. He attended the rehearsal at the church the day before and spent the entire wedding day with us. We received a 9 minute highlight video 3 days after our wedding (which is really fast - most of my friends who used other videographers didn't receive theirs until weeks after). We'll also receive full ceremony film, first dances, and reception toasts on a usb drive that is already on its way to us (9 days after our wedding). Not only is his work outstanding, Steve was kind, uplifting and professional throughout the entire process. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Steve Weber Films to anyone looking for a wedding videographer!"
